VISIT OF THE DELEGATION OF SOUTHEAST UNIVERSITY IN NANJING

A delegation of high representatives of the Southeast University in Nanjing, People’s Republic of China, headed by the University Executive Vice-President Professor Baoping Wang visited the University of Novi Sad on 10^th June, 2019.

The Vice-Rector for International Relations of the University of Novi Sad Prof. Dr. Dejan Madić received the delegation in the Rector's Office of the University of Novi Sad. The meeting was also attended by the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Technical Sciences Prof. Dr. Darko Stefanović, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Goran Stojiljković and the Director of the BioSense Institute Prof. Dr. Vladimir Crnojević.

During the meeting the representatives of the universities discussed the possibilities of establishing a bilateral cooperation between the University of Novi Sad and Southeast University in Nanjing. Both parties expressed their interest to develop the cooperation in the areas of common interest, as well as to formalize the cooperation through signing of the bilateral agreement on cooperation.

The Southeast University is one of the leading universities in science and higher education in China. The University dates back to 1902 and currently encompass 33 departments with 2000 teaching staff and over 30,000 students, including 2,000 foreign students from 100 countries. It is a comprehensive university, offering studies in the fields of philosophy, economics, law, literature, natural sciences, medicine, engineering, management and art, among which 11 disciplines are have been classified as double first-class.
