TRAINING FOR USERS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NOVI SAD INSTITUITONAL REPOSITORY – OPEN

An institutional repository for intellectual output of researchers was developed within the Erasmus+ BE-OPEN project, coordinated by the University of Novi Sad. The Institutional repository is one of the preconditions for the compliance with open science principles which will contribute to strengthening the research position and recognition of the University of Novi Sad in national and international frameworks.

Training for users of the UNS institutional repository will be held on Monday, June 17th 2019, from 10 AM to 4 PM, at the Faculty of Philosophy, Projection Room on the groundfloor.

Training is intended for all vice-deans for science, librarians and researchers of the University of Novi Sad.

More about the project

Erasmus+ project Boosting Engagement of Serbian Universities in Open Science – BE-OPEN is one of the coordinating projects at the University of Novi Sad. The project is financed by the EU programme Erasmus+, Key Action 2 – Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education. Partners in the project are all public higher education institutions in Serbia, Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia and four EU higher education institutions: University of Leiden, the Netherlands, University od Udine, Italy, Goldsmiths, University of London, United Kingdom and National Technical University of Athens, Greece.

The goals of the BE-OPEN project are to:

  • advance national and institutional guidelines, policies and incentive related to open science
  • establish digital repositories at all Serbian universities and to foster their infrastructural development and interoperability
  • build institutional and individual capacities in order to ensure sustainable implementation of open science principles and enhance inclusiveness and accountability of publicly-funded research
